This specialty clinic is offered to kids birth years 2009-2015 with city league and higher experience and will take place place July 12–13, 2025 at Reno Ice. Designed to improve hockey IQ and elevate your on-ice decision-making, this Game Situations & Positioning Clinic focuses on one of the most important aspects of hockey: knowing where to be, when to move, and how to read developing plays. A dedicated goalie coach will also be on hand to work with goalies on positioning, reaction, and reading shooters. (Goalies: Please use the separate registration link, as space is limited.) Key Focus Areas: Positional Awareness – Improve your ability to read the ice and make smart, confident decisions. Reading and Reacting – Develop anticipation and real-time adjustments during dynamic play. Body Positioning – Win puck battles and maintain control under pressure. Faceoff Techniques & Responsibilities – Learn how to execute and follow through on faceoffs. Backchecking & Defensive Coverage – Understand how to track and shut down opposing plays. Man-to-Man vs. Zone Coverage – Learn both systems and when to apply them. Game Situations Drills – Simulated reps of real in-game scenarios for hands-on learning.
